I had mixed feelings about my stay at Rainbow Resort Hotel. The natural setting is beautiful, surrounded by lush rain forest, but the hotel shows signs of aging and the sulfur smell from the water was pretty unpleasant. The restaurant's food was decent with a good breakfast spread, but the dining scene got chaotic with big busloads of tourists. I ended up leaving a day early, feeling that the experience didn't quite live up to my expectations.

Rooms
6.0
I was in a large room with a comfy couch and a big TV. However, the sulfur smell from hot showers filled the room, which was off-putting.
Service
5.0
The service was hit-or-miss. Staff were friendly, but there were awkward moments like being chased by a staff member when I decided not to eat at the hotel.
Location
7.0
The location is serene, way up in the hills with beautiful valley views. But it felt remote; the nearest town is about a 10-minute drive away.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was good with local dishes, but dinner was overpriced, and it got noisy with large groups of tourists flooding in later in the evening.
Facilities
5.0
The hot springs had potential but were often overcrowded, especially later in the day. The hotel could use a renovation for sure.

I enjoyed the peaceful setting and the hot springs, though my experience was marred by the influx of noisy tourists in the evenings. The remote location added to both the tranquility and some accessibility challenges during my stay. Overall, it was a mixed experience, with moments of relaxation overshadowed by disruptions.

Rooms
6.0
My room was comfortable and clean, but there were maintenance issues with the first room assigned to me, which had broken screens. The hotel itself feels a bit dated, reminiscent of the early 1990s.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, though they attempted to persuade me to dine at the hotel, which felt a bit pushy at times.
Location
5.0
Nestled in a remote mountain area, the resort offers stunning views and a serene environment, but it's quite far from local amenities, making it a trek to access anything beyond the hotel.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast provided a nice spread, but dinner was overpriced compared to local options. The restaurant felt overwhelmed by the large groups during peak hours.
Facilities
5.0
While the hot spring pools were enjoyable, they were unfortunately overcrowded in the evenings. Some facilities, like the drying machines, could use better maintenance.

I enjoyed my stay at the Rainbow Resort, particularly the serene hot springs, but was disappointed by the restaurant experience and limited Wi-Fi. The picturesque surroundings and spacious rooms made up for some shortcomings.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. However, I initially received a room with broken screens, which they promptly changed.
Service
6.0
The staff was generally friendly and hospitable, though communication was a challenge since English wasn't widely spoken.
Location
7.0
Set in a lush rainforest valley near the National Park, the location was peaceful but a bit remote. I appreciated the tranquility, yet it meant dining options were limited without a car.
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast had plenty of options, the taste was underwhelming. The hotel restaurant was better than average, offering a decent selection, yet I found the best food at nearby places in town.
Facilities
7.0
I loved the hot springs pools, especially when it was less crowded, but they felt aged and could use some renovation. The setting was stunning, with rich mineral water that felt rejuvenating.

My stay at Rainbow Resort Hotel was a blend of relaxation and frustration. The hot spring pools were fantastic, especially when they weren't crowded. However, the arrival of numerous loud tourists in the evening overshadowed the peaceful experience I initially enjoyed. Overall, I appreciated the beautiful setting and the hotel’s amenities, but the atmosphere was often disrupted by the influx of visitors.

Rooms
7.0
The Boutique Twin Room I stayed in was clean and well-maintained, offering a nice view of the lush rainforest surrounding the hotel. However, I did have some initial issues with a room that had broken screens, but the staff quickly moved me to a functioning room.
Service
6.5
The service was generally friendly and accommodating, although I encountered some pushy behavior from staff trying to encourage me to dine on-site for dinner, despite my preference to explore local options.
Location
7.0
The hotel's remote location in the mountains provided a very tranquil environment, which I loved. However, the 20-minute walk down to any semblance of civilization was a bit inconvenient, especially when taxis charged exorbitantly for short rides.
Dining
7.5
I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which had a nice variety of local dishes. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious, featuring options like smoked guinea fowl, though I found the dinner prices a bit steep compared to local eateries.
Facilities
6.5
The hot spring pools were enjoyable, but the facilities showed signs of aging and could use some updates. The environment felt peaceful, yet I noticed some equipment, like the drying machine, needed better maintenance.

I had a pleasant stay at Rainbow Resort Hotel, thanks to the tranquil hot spring pools surrounded by lush rainforest. However, the experience was somewhat marred by the influx of noisy tourists in the evening. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, some maintenance issues were evident, and the restaurant prices felt a bit steep.

Rooms

I found the rooms clean and comfortable, although the first one I received had broken screens and non-working lights. Luckily, the staff quickly moved me to a better room.
Service
6.5
The staff were generally friendly and accommodating, although I did find one staff member quite persistent in encouraging me to dine at the hotel restaurant.
Location
7.5
The setting was picturesque, nestled in the mountains and near a national park, but it was a 20-minute walk down to local restaurants and taxis were overpriced.
Dining
6.0
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a good variety of local dishes. However, I found the dinner prices at the hotel restaurant to be a bit on the higher side.
Facilities
6.5
While the hot spring pools were nice and fairly well maintained, the overall facility felt overdue for renovation, and some equipment needed better upkeep.
